A Krinar Kindle World Story
When Drako’s space pod malfunctions over Johannesburg, his secret reconnaissance mission goes horribly wrong. Wounded in the crash, he’s captured by the South African Secret Service who sees an opportunity to strengthen their army and make a fortune by using the alien pilot in an unorthodox experiment. They send a female to tend to his injuries, a human girl with the pretty name of Ilse who’s sweet and caring. The perfume of her skin is like a drug, her blood an aphrodisiac. He can still smell her and taste her on his tongue. Her betrayal cuts deeper than the testing and torture. No matter. His escape is pending. When he comes back to Earth, it will be to find her, and when he does, he’ll show as little mercy as she did.
Nurse Ilse Gouws knows from the minute the SS brings her to their secure compound to treat a prisoner’s injuries that the man chained in the deepest and darkest of basements is not human. Neither is he the criminal they claim him to be. Under his stoic veneer are kindness and sensitivity. If she doesn’t help him, he’s going to die. To win time, she partakes in the agency’s wicked experiment, betraying not only her government, but also the man who calls himself a Krinar. The choices she makes turn her into a hunted woman, chased by a shady government and a vengeful extraterrestrial. Only one thing is sure in her uncertain future. Neither will stop until she’s dead.
These are the events that led to the Krinar Earth Invasion. This is the untold story.

South African born Charmaine Pauls is a gypsy at heart who likes to look at the world from the lens of her camera. She writes dark and paranormal romance novels. The author currently resides in Chile with her husband and children.

Drako has been sent to Earth on a reconnaissance mission but something goes wrong with his ship and ends up being captured by law forces in South Africa. Immediately they know something is off with him so they try to obtain information using some cruel ways. That's why they have to go to nurse Ilse, a sweet and caring woman. He feels attracted to her and wants to try her essence before leaving Earth. Ilse given her nature wants to heal him and help him escape. A series of confusions will make him believe she works with the bad guys only to unravel more twists and action.

The book is immersed in a bigger universe and uses all the elements necessary to create a solid story. It uses all the right sci-fi elements and it's easy to picture the scenarios.

The book has great shares of passion and sex. It gets too steamy for moments and the encounters between Ilse and Drako are capable of burning your e-reader.

This installment written by Charmaine is easy to read and it's entertaining. Overall, it was a good read.

A paranormal category romance from Entangled's Covet imprint...
Wanting her was one thing. Keeping her was another...
Serenity Danssaert was already in way over her head. Not even her MI6 training or her powers as one of the seven Pleiades witches is going to save her sister. Then Alexi Jovec shows up. A secret operative working for unknown forces, he's impossibly sexy and dangerous...and the guy who bailed on Serenity after a red-hot, racy night.
So bonding to him as her destined--the One--is so very wrong.
While Alexi's need to own Serenity--body, soul, and beyond--is nearly unbearable, it's also forbidden. He's the last man who could ever be her destined. Besides, Hades's right-hand man cannot bond with a chosen Pleiades witch. He may be the one man who can protect her, but she can never be his to keep.

Zoe Forward is a hopeless romantic who can’t decide between paranormal and contemporary romance. So, she writes both. In addition to being a mom to one rambunctious kindergartener and wife to a conservation ecologist who plans to save all the big cats on the planet, she’s a small animal veterinarian caring for all the small furries, although there is the occasional hermit crab.

When she’s not typing at her laptop she’s tying on a karate belt for her son or cleaning up the newest pet mess from the menagerie that occupies her house. She’s madly in love with her globe-trotting husband of ten years and happiest when he returns to their home base in North Carolina.

Serenity is desperate for save her sister, but a sexy dangerous secret agent doesn't make things any easier. When we first encounter these two we discover they shared passion (and a bed) in the past but he walked out on her and left her alone. Now he is the only one who can help her to find her sister and save her life.

The book is a mix of action, passion, and intrigue. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts. It's clear they are attracted to each other but given that she is a witch and he is Hades's right-hand, things for them are not easy.  The tension is always present, the fire is palpable and of course when they finally get down to business is HOT.

I liked that the book is part of a bigger universe so we get to see characters we already know from the previous book. The mythology is well used and the plot is solid. I really enjoy some twist and revelations, they were quite shocking.

As all Zoe's books this one is well written, the passing is fast and the scenes have a natural transition. I cannot wait to read the next one in the series.

Jennifer wants to find "the one" and in her desperation for finding the man sent by the gods she convinces herself that a TV host is her soulmate. The only problem? to enter the reality show that could take her closer to him, she has to find a fake boyfriend. She will convince Nikolai (the sexy Alexi's brother who we meet in the previous book) to help her to get into the show. Not only their lives will be in so much danger but the sexual tension between them will test them all the time.

As all the books in the series, the story presents a pair that feels really attracted to each other, whose tension and passion burns the pages but they think the other is better off without him or her. Nikolai wants to protect Jennifer against all dangers even himself.

The story presents a reality show as platform and it's perfect to make the characters go crazy trying to stay alive. They have to face the scariest and deadliest test and challenges. It also helps the story to move on really fast.

The book is really easy to read, the characters are great. There is magic and romance and if you like Zoe's books you will enjoy this one too. We get to see characters from previous books and how all the books are connected creating a bigger world.

Review: Meeting of the Mustangs

TITLE: Meeting of the Mustangs
AUTHOR: Cathy Kennedy

FORMAT: Paperback & ebook

A black colt is born into a band of wild mustangs and soon learns that life can often be difficult. Follow his story as he goes from a free spirit to being captured for profit, and discover how one man gains the trust and extreme loyalty of a very special horse.

Cathy Kennedy spent the first years of her life growing up in Pennsylvania before moving to South Florida at age 17. Her book, Meeting of the Mustangs, was started during her teenage years in Pennsylvania and would not be completed until many years later.

The story of the wild mustangs is somewhat reflective of her life living in the country, where her family owned horses. She wanted to complete the book for younger readers who have a love for animals, and finally convinced herself that she should continue the story where she'd stopped writing many years before.

She currently lives in Ohio with her husband and three rescued tuxedo cats.

This is the story of a young horse who gets separated from his band. Born wild he will be captured, tame and different people will try to control him. The story tries to tell us how the horse feels and how he interprets the world around him. It's not fantasy, don't worry, it's simple and quite appealing for animal lovers.

The story is well written and it's full of detailed descriptions, I think young readers can enjoy it given the short length and descriptive nature.

One moment changed their lives forever.

Crack. Crack. Crack.
Not fireworks―gunshots. The music stops. And Pato, Arbo, Marcos, and Gladys are powerless as the lives they once knew are taken from them.
Then they are seen by the gunmen. They run. Except they have nowhere to go. The narcos responsible for their families' murders have put out a reward for the teens' capture. Staying in Mexico is certain death, but attempting to cross the border through an unforgiving desert may be as deadly as the secrets they are trying to escape...

Steve Schafer has a Masters in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton. It's crazy how your whole world can change in one second. One minute you are enjoying your cousin's Quinceañera and then, bang, bang bang... life as you knew it, is gone. Pato, Arbo, Marcos and Gladys are the only survivors of a mass murder carried out by narcos. Now, their only chance of staying alive is crossing the border.  But running from narcos can be as hard and dangerous as crossing to the States.

I have to give a standing ovation to the author not only did he picked a current and sensitive topic but also he wrote a masterpiece that captures what millions of people live every day trying to escape towards a better life. The journey to the other side is the scenario to witness the worst sides of humanity and life in extreme conditions, full with dangers and risks. We see how their will is tested and their survival instinct taking the lead.

The four teenagers are amazing characters. It's easy to love all of them and they are complex and real. We understand their fears and hopes and through them explore so many emotions that you end the book feeling a little emotionally tired.

The book is written with a YA audience in mind but I think all readers will enjoy it. The writing is excellent and the story has no flaws.

Taken captive, experimented on, and rescued by a mysterious bounty hunter … all things Zula, The Pittsburgh’s second-in command, didn’t have on her to-do list. She isn’t worried though. After all, as a Galvraron, she has her superior logic to rely on. At least she did …

Suddenly Zula finds her cognitive skills compromised by a device that puts her emotions in control, turning her entire world upside down. Add in the fact that she’s forced to spend time with a man from her past, and soon Zula finds herself wondering: How does one fight adversaries such as love and lust? And does she really want to?

D.T. Dyllin is a bestselling author who writes paranormal, sci-fi, and contemporary romance. Basically, anything with a love story is her kryptonite. Her obsession with affairs-of-the-heart is what first drove her to begin twisting her own tales of scorching romance.

D.T. was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Black & Gold for life, baby!) She now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband, and two spoiled German Shepherds.

Sometimes being the smartest person in a room is not the easiest thing in the world. And being part of a species who only focus on logical thinking and believes emotions are signs of a lower step in the evolution chain, it's not easy to be Zula. We saw her being "taken" by a mysterious character and now we know what happened to her.

Zula is brought to her past and family and we discover along with the part her species is taking in the war-conflict taking form in the universe. We meet an awful and cruel character. The surprises are mind-blowing and of course, there is romance and sexual tension.

If you are familiar with D.T. Dyllin's work you know you can expect sex in the story, this one is not the exception. As usual, it is added in the best moments and it helps the continuity of the story.

This one is another great addition to the series. I can not wait to read what's next.

Review: PaperlessPost @paperlesspost

Hello everyone.... today I bring a different kind of review. A few weeks ago I was contacted by Anagram Interactive with an offer to try Paperless Post. After visiting the site a few times and checking all the different type of offers they have I came out with this review.
I will tell you a bit more about the site but I can tell you from now that you have to visit it.

Paperless Post is this amazing page where you can design and create beautiful invitations, cards, and more. In our times where everyone carries a smartphone and/or a computer, it's easier to send a digital message when we want to invite someone to a party or congratulate them in their special days. But Paperless Post offers you the chance to do this but creating a more personal, colorful and creative card that you can send via email or sometimes you can get it printed.

The page has cards for all occasions. Imagine a special date and Paperless Post has a card for you.
Really, imagine a date and you get a card. I was amazed by the variety of holidays and special events that you can find.

FIND OUT MORE ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

I have to talk about this... That's right the site even has a space for DESIGNER COLLECTIONS... Here you will find designs created by people like OSCAR DE LA RENTA, VERA WANG and so much more.

SO how does it works?
Well, first things first go to the page and register. You get some free coins when you do that and you can start to visit the site.  Now, you are wondering what coins are???
Well, to start customizing a card you need coins and then more if you want to personalize things like background, envelope and more you need coins. But don't worry it's not expensive at all. For example, you get 20 coins for  $6.00 and you can create a card for only 2 coins.
Trust me is worth your money.

After you are done you write all the people you want to send the card: you add their names and emails and that's it just hit SEND.

NOW, pay attention one feature I find really outstanding is that the site offers the possibility of getting a reply from your recipients. Whether is a confirmation of attendance to a party or a message giving thanks.

SO...... MY RATING FOR THIS SITE AND ITS SERVICE IS:

Tamzea, a Mazatimz healer, found a home as part of the crew on the starship The Pittsburgh. But when a part of her past crashes into her present, she’s forced to face the uncertainty of her future.
Dragged back to a place Tamzea had hoped to leave in her worst nightmares, she discovers Eron, a man she thought dead. Determined to save each other, Tamzea and Eron must find a way to work together, despite their torrid past. With partial truths, and political games, will Tamzea be able to fix Eron, or is he too broken for even her to heal?

Basically, anything with a love story is her kryptonite. Her obsession with affairs-of-the-heart is what first drove her to begin twisting her own tales of scorching romance.

The Pittsburgh has the coolest captain, who we meet in book one but now it´s the turn of one of her crew members. Tamzea was born to heal, it´s in her species nature and is who she is. When her past comes and drags her back in, she has to face the man she once loved.

Tamzea and Eron´s relationship is full of emotions, there is tension all over the place because he is not the same and his soul is really tormented. Tamzea will have to ask herself if loving someone is enough to help them heal. I love their evolution and interaction.

AS all D.T. Dyllin´s books there are sex scenes, always brought up in the best moments. Sometimes is rush and messy and others, it´s sweet and tender. What´s important is that is not just sex, it´s how the characters show some emotions that cannot express any other way.

The book is a perfect sci-fi romance, and all the elements are covered. I really liked it and recommended it.
