AUTHOR: T. L. Blake

Determined science teacher, Robyn Darrow, has started a new life in the sleepy rural idyll of Porthmollek. But Porthmollek has sinister secrets and outsiders are most definitely not welcome. Handsome, but arrogant, Andrew Obursen knows all too well that there is rot in the small town, but he has his own reasons for keeping quiet and Robyn is the last person that he would ever open up to. When fate drags the two together after the mysterious disappearance of a colleague, Robyn and Andrew think that their only problem is the unwanted attraction that sizzles passionately between them. But it soon becomes obvious that the disappearance was no accident and that Robyn and Andrew may, in fact, be next. . .
Please note that this book contains adult sex scenes, violence and swearing.

T L Blake is from Gloucestershire, England.  She has a University degree in Biochemistry and Physiology and has had a full and varied career in both research and secondary education.  Now that she is responsible for a young family she is finally indulging in her passion for writing, stealing precious minutes whenever she can.
With an avid interest in the arcane, T L Blake’s books all share dark fantasy themes whether those themes are backed by solid science like in the Monochrome Destiny series, or are set in wholly fictitious worlds like her upcoming Guardians series.
All of T L Blake’s books also share the theme of romance and super hot sex.

This is the story of Robyn, a school teacher who has a rough start in a small rural town. She and her friend are new in the town and some of the people don't like outsiders. Another colleague bullies her in order to make her leave but she won't give him the satisfaction. One day her friend goes on a trip and doesn't come back, from then on she will try to figure out what happen to her while discovering that the town has more secrets than she thought.

The book has a slow start in my opinion, somewhere around half of it the story started to be more interesting and I devoured the rest of the book. The last chapters are quite dark and intense, the plot takes an interesting twist and I found the idea quite original.

The romance between Robyn and Andrew is one of the good things from this book. They feel attracted but her fears don't allow her to follow her heart. And also, there are some secrets that prevent Andrew to really be with her. Of course, once they get together is really sweet and passional. I like their dynamic and want to know what's next for them.

This is the first of a planned trilogy so you can expect a cliffhanger at the end of the story.
