Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in the sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life. Four caskets. Two bodies. Jessica and Jude Day witness their funeral and that of their parents a few yards away from mourning family and friends. Stripped of the only life they’ve ever known, the Days say goodbye to San Francisco forever. Six months later, two thirty-year-old misfits with elite self-defense skills and penchants for alcohol, sex, and trouble arrive like an earthquake to Peaceful Woods, a retirement community in Omaha, Nebraska, that thrives on rules and gossip. Welcome home, Jackson and Jillian Knight. Jackson celebrates his new beginning by embracing his job and wiping his cavalier past clean with a temporary oath of celibacy. But Jillian’s past is branded into her soul—the deaths, the insanity, Dr. Luke Jones, and the need to make her lovers bleed. Her chance for redemption comes in the form of a next door neighbor, one Senior Master Sergeant Monaghan. He’s sexy, dangerously alluring, and riddled with emotional issues from years of service. He’s also … So. Damn. Grumpy. Their mission is simple: Let go, start over, don't kill anyone, and pray that nobody wakes the dead.
**This book contains explicit language, sexual content, and violence. 18+ **

Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.

With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.

After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.

When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.

End of Day is a sexy, full of intrigue, drama that will leave you speechless and wanting for more. We are presented with two characters, Jessica and Jude that have to witness their burial and now have new lives and new identities. From then on it's all a mix of mystery, passion and discoveries.

This is the story of Jack and Jill, the new neighbors in a tranquil retired neighborhood. They come to shake things up and to bring emotions to town. This book is a different read from the moment that we have to unveil little by little Jillian's past. Also we witness a couple of brothers with a shady past and people who deals with their problems in a quite violent way.

Jillian is a dark character. We still have too much to learn about her but as we read her story is easy to understand why she is so fucked up and why she acts as she does. Senior Master Sergeant Monaghan is the perfect partner for her. He is a man with a turbulent story and a present that could scare most women but is perfect for a relationship that breaks all boundaries.

It's hard to talk about this book without thinking of its intensity and its darkness. If you are into light and simple books this one is not for you. The writing and the plot will suck your energies but at the same time will make the blood in your veins pumps at a fast rhythm.

The sex scenes were off the charts. I can't even begin to explain the hotness, the sexiness and how strong they were. There was one scene that took place in the garage that made my kindle exploited. You think that the author couldn't have written more original and unique sequences. However, each scene has its own atmosphere and is overwhelming and extraordinary.

I can’t wait to read the next book because there are many questions unanswered and the cliffhanger at the end was too much.

If dark romance, complex characters and strong sex scenes are something you enjoy, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK.
