Welcome to a new post with a special review. This book is number two in a series written by "Robert Westfall". It's special because the book hasn't been published yet, the author send me what could be called a Beta version. I really enjoyed it so I hope the author publish it soon.
Also you can read my review for book one.
UPDATED: The book is now listed on AMAZON . Go & get your copy.
TIME WARPED TRAVELERS II: LATER THAT MONTH.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The book starts right where the first one left off. Tom continues doing whatever he wants and he is more in love than never. His love for Beth takes him to the strangest places. They are a solid couple and this time the shenanigans come from both of them.
The writing is as good as before. Tom's voice is stronger, more mature and natural. The writing makes it seem like if you were watching a movie or hearing someone telling his adventures.
There is more humor than in book one, and more action. The faster speed makes it exciting, which I liked and enjoyed a lot.
New characters are added to the mix. Each one brings something special and important to the story. I loved the drama created around Hermie and I think that he coming back with Tom and Beth was a great idea. I also liked how they solved the problem with the McConahey brothers. And, The Clocker continues being the bad guy and it’s more mysterious than before.
There are many great scenes, one of my favorites involves Beth parents and Tommy. The mother has always made clear that she doesn't like him very much but in that scene is pretty obvious. That woman really hates him and I think he deserves it a bit.
Overall, it’s a great sequel. This installment has a more adult level because the sex is an important ingredient and the use of some drugs (that were legal then) is present.
