Eternal Echoes - Review

Finally, Eternal Echoes is out!!!
I'm so glad the author send me an ARC because it's an amazing book.

Eternal Echoes (Sisters of the Divine, #1)
by Anastasia Virgas
Eternal Echoes (Sisters of the Divine, #1)Ariston Dago is a sentry, a protector for his people. He watches the waters of his territory, keeping his god and his race safe both above and below the murky depths around Venice, Italy. When he’s compelled to save a human that falls from a transport, his life is forever changed, because the human he saves, Teagan Moss, is his mate, the first human to ever mate a Dagonite.

Teagan Moss is the kind of woman to shoot first and then question the body later. When she wakes with a Hydro bomb strapped to her body, she knows someone is going to pay for trying to kill her, and that she is going to need the help of the sexy exotic Dagonite to find out who exactly needs that bullet in their brain. What she doesn't count on, is the scorching attraction she feels for the male who is so certain she is his.

Thrust into solving the mystery surrounding the attempt on his mate’s life, Ari and Teagan uncover more than the answers they are looking for, and the truths they unearth could send the world into another war.

MY REVIEW
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In a future world, the Earth is no longer inhabited by mere humans. Shape-shifters are a reality because different deities came to Earth and mingled with humans and now the world is divided into factions.

When Teagan’s path crosses with Ariston and the Dagonites (octopus shifter) an exciting, sexy, funny, engaging and erotic story begins. These are two characters that complement each other. Ari is protective, brave, manly, strong, honest and SEXY. Teagan is an independent woman, with an interesting past. She’s not the typical damsel in distress because she loves her guns.

The interaction between them is amazing, full of tension and danger, we see them getting to know and accepting the attraction between them. It has a natural rhythm and it keeps you glue to the words.

The world is wonderfully described and is easy to understand, the explanations of the different factions are a good thing and I think they are very believable. The dialogues are excellent, funny at moments and when it comes to the romantic scenes they are nor corny at all.

Being an adult’s book it has its doses of sexual scenes and let me tell you… THEY ARE AMAZING! I couldn’t have imagined better way to described what an octopus shifter could do at a moment like that. These are great scenes that come with perfect timing and are excellently written.

The author created a story that never loses intensity, written in a way that helps you sense what is coming but makes you wait for it with an incredible longing. The story has a high temperature, a fast paced story with a solid and ORIGINAL plot.

Overall, I loved it!

  1. Hey Ruty!!!!!

I've missed you soooo much! I am so sorry for disappearing for awhile. It has been a HUGE transition getting back into working at the school full-time on top of working my part-time job. I also had to fly out to my best friend's wedding last month, so I feel like I am a whole month behind!

Anyway, WHOA! Eternal Echoes sounds AMAZING! An Octopus shape-shifter??? Wow, that is completely original. When I saw the cover and read the book blurb, I thought he was maybe a merman. I'm really glad that more authors are starting to think outside the box and write more original content. If you gave this book a 5 out of 5 star rating, then I guess I will definitely have to give it a shot!

Speaking of different shapeshifters, have you heard of the YA book called SKULK by Rosie Best? It just came out on October 1st. I hear that it also has different shapeshifters, like this one guy can shape shift into a butterfly. I plan on buying it soon so I will let you know what I think once I read it.

So how are you? How is the job? I hope all is well! OMG, Sons of Anarchy is insane!!!!
