Judgment (Deck of Lies #4) - Review

HAPPY FRIDAY!
Today I have a review for the last book in an amazing series. Deck of Lies by Jade Varden is one of my favorites series and I totally recommend it for those who like Contemporary YA.
This is about the last book in the series so it might have spoilers from the other three books.

Also I'm planning a giveaway for the first book so don't forget to visit my blog TOMORROW.

You can read my other reviews if you like.

    Judgment (Deck of Lies #4)
    Cashing Out.

Do I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
How can I, when the truth will destroy us all? Now that I’ve started telling lies, I can’t stop. Not until all this is over, and I’m free of the family that never felt like mine. Maybe it’s wrong. Maybe I’m a bad person.

But it’s definitely the only way I’m ever going to escape them. I have to take the opportunity, no matter how terrible it is...don’t I?

    MY REVIEW.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars.

The end of a series is always the worst part because you want the answers to all your questions, you want closure for all the characters and most important you want an ending without clich├ęs or obvious formulas. I’m so glad to say that Jade Varden made an Excellent, Outstanding, Marvelous, and all the adjectives you can think of, writing Judgment.

The trial has come; the truth is about to come out and Rain will finally have the revenge she deserves. We continue discovering more twist and lies. The web of secrets it's getting more complicated and messier but this time Rain will get what she wants.

Judgment is a fast pacing book, with a well written, believable and entertaining trial. The ending comes naturally and with a lot of surprises. With the same writing style, the same intensity and excitement as the previous installments, book four is the perfect finale for one of the best YA series I ever read.

The characters I came to love and cherish through the series are now who they were destined to be. Rain has become a mature, secure and confident woman with an As under her sleeve. Some secondary characters will play a significant role in the story to bring closure and peace for all of us.

During the whole series the author made a great job surprising us, every new revelation was smart, well placed, breathtaking and most of the times unexpected. This book is not the exception because it has quite a few breathtaking scenes.

I could write thousands of words about all the greatness of this book but I don’t want to spoil much. If you liked the other books you MUST, I mean is vital that you read the ending.

Overall, Judgment (or to be more specifics the Deck of Lies series) is a masterpiece. With excellent writing, amazing characters, a real and believable world that proves that YA can be more than simple romance. A story about friendship, family, love, life changing decisions, the consequences of our actions and mostly about Life and all its comings and goings.
